Vet Records Needed for Grooming
Why it’s vital: To ensure the health and safety of every cat, we kindly request vet records indicating up-to-date vaccinations for Rabies and Distemper (FVRCP), along with clear tests for FIV, Feline Leukemia (or the feline leukemia vaccine), and Stool Parasites within the last 3 years. Your pet also needs to be microchipped.
Benefits for everyone:
- Health Assurance: Our vet records check helps verifies that all cats are up-to-date on essential vaccinations and free from common contagious diseases, ensuring a healthy environment for all cats.
- Individualized Care: Having a clear understanding of your cat’s health history allows our grooming experts to tailor services and address specific needs, ensuring a personalized and comfortable grooming experience for your cat.
- BONUS – Because we are located inside the Feline Hotel, you will also be ready for boarding at the Feline Hotel, as the Feline Hotel requires all guests to meet the same health care requirements.
- Safety Measures: Regular health checks and tests help prevent the spread of diseases and parasites among feline guests, creating a safe grooming environment.
Your cooperation in providing updated vet records contributes to a healthier grooming session for your beloved cat and all our guests!
You can upload them to your account when scheduling or email them to micathotel@gmail.com
Would a light sedative & anti anxiety medication help your cat during grooming?
Gabapentin is commonly prescribed to cats to help them relax for car rides, grooming, vet visits, and other situations they may find stressful. Gabapentin makes it easier on your cat, easier for us to work on your cat, and possibly even easier on you with transporting your cat. We recommend gabapentin for adult cats not used to regular baths & grooming. It’s very common and very safe, ask your vet for a prescription.
